Will You Help Us?
New Year, New Focus.
Make It Rain's focus for 2017 is Entebbe, Uganda. We're partnering with CitiHope and Calvary Chapel Entebbe to build a medical clinic on the shores of Lake Victoria. Our team is going a step further to establish sustainability by working with CitiHope to bring in much needed medicine and aid. Virginia Tech's School of Architecture and Design is undertaking the clinic's design, along with International Green Structures, utilizing local materials and architectural elements, as well as designing the clinic to maximize the multi-faceted care it will provide.
Let's Do This!
Diseases such as recurrent malaria, schistosomiasis, intestinal worms, STDs, and HIV (estimated at 30% of the population) are rampant, dental health is very poor. Extremely limited access to treatment and medications has translated to an average life span of 40-50 years.
Containing many islands, Lake Victoria is the largest lake in Africa. Remote island villages greatly lack medicine and medical care. These island fishing villages have very difficult living conditions – mud huts, no potable water or sewer systems, there are many orphans and single mothers.
Help us make it happen!
Your donation will play an integral role in continuing our mission of "helping others help others" in the form increasing medical care to the islands and communities in and around Lake Victoria.
